How to play
Four easy steps. No reading-heavy rules, just numbers and colours.
1
Look at the target
The big number at the top is the target. Every row and every column must add up to it.
2
Drag a tile
Pick a number from the tray and drop it into an empty box. On a phone you can also tap a tile, then tap a box.
3
Check the totals
The bubbles beside each row and below each column show the total so far. Green means that line is right.
4
Solve and unlock
When every line matches the target the puzzle is solved. Collect your stars and open the next puzzle.
Watch it, then try it
Equalise solves this little puzzle by itself. Tap the board when you are ready to try!
Watch me balance every line!
How scoring works
Every move counts: placing a tile, moving it to another box or taking it back to the tray. The best possible number of moves is the number of empty boxes. Fewer moves earn more points.
| Moves used | Stars | Points |
|---|---|---|
| The best possible | ★★★ | 100 |
| A few extra moves | ★★☆ | 5 fewer points for each extra move |
| Lots of extra moves | ★☆☆ | Never less than 10 |
Once a puzzle is solved it is locked with its stars, and the next puzzle opens.
Tips for little puzzlers
- Start with the biggest numbers. They are the hardest to fit.
- Fill the row or column with the fewest empty boxes first.
- Work out what is missing: target minus the total so far.
- A red bubble means that line went over. Swap a tile to fix it.
